Master Parrot, whose real name is David Sifaayo, is a Ugandan musician known for his contributions to the dancehall genre. He was born in the early 1980s and grew up in Makerere-Kivulu, later spending time in the ghettos of Kamwokya, where he befriended Bobi Wine. He attended Kampala Primary School, Aga Khan Primary School, Kitante Secondary School, and later earned a diploma in Music, Dance & Drama (MDD) from Makerere University .
Master Parrot began his music career in high school and later became one of the founding members of the Fire Base Crew. However, he left the group due to differences in vision and later joined Leone Island, where he worked with artists like Dr. Jose Chameleone. He is best known for songs like Ekikompola, Kikiri Kika, Kaleke Kasoma, Mbiligo, and Kelementina. In 2009, he formed his own group, Spear Dem Crew, but it did not achieve the success he had hoped for .
In the late 2000s, his career faced setbacks, and he struggled with personal challenges, including alcohol abuse. In 2014, he publicly announced that he had quit drinking and dedicated his life to God, transitioning to gospel music while maintaining his dancehall roots .
Master Parrot has expressed a desire to revive his musical career and regain the popularity he had in the early 2000s. In 2018, he released an album titled Wakyuusa, which featured both gospel and secular tracks.
